Makhteshim Agan Names European Lead to Chief Commercial Officer Post

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – Makhteshim Agan, the world’s largest off-patent crop protection maker, said this week it named Ignacio Dominguez, the current head of its European business, to Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Global Products and Marketing.
Dominguez assumes the marketing position of Dr. Yoav Zeif, who is leaving the company, MAI said.
The new appointment is aimed at further differentiating MAI’s product offering, MAI said.
In his new role, Dominguez will be responsible for MAI’s global commercial strategy, including global crop and product portfolio management, global products development and global registration, as well the company’s global marketing and branding strategies.
Dominguez is a 25-year veteran of the agrochemical industry who has served in a variety of managerial positions with the company since 2001. Prior to joining MAI, Ignacio held a number of positions with ICI, American Cyanamid and Syngenta. He will continue to serve as Head of MAI’s European Region until a successor is appointed.
“The appointment of a CCO to MAI is another step to support our strategy of solidifying MAI’s differentiation and market leadership. In a complex and competitive market place this appointment will allow us to improve our global market orientation and worldwide customer service capabilities,” President and CEO Erez Vigodman said in a statement.
