Sipcam, Nihon Nohyaku, Sumi Agro Form European Alliance

Sipcam S.p.A., Nihon Nohyaku Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corp.’s subsidiary, Sumi Agro Europe Ltd.(SAE) formed an alliance to create a common platform for the development, marketing and distribution of plant protection products in their respective regions.

The new alliance will provide a significant boost in developing a stronger product portfolio, obtaining a range of molecules and reinforcing each company’s sales activities in the European market using their innovative strengths and unique multi-function expertise for the respective parties.

Sipcam has established a holding company, Sipcam Europe S.p.A., for marketing, distribution and development of agrochemicals, specialty fertilizers and seeds covering Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, UK and Benelux. NNC and SAE have acquired minority stakes in Sipcam Europe S.p.A. as strategic alliance partners.

Correspondingly, SAE has established a holding company, Sumi Agro Limited covering its operations in France, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic/Slovakia Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and Germany with minority stakes acquired by Sipcam.
