Gunmen Kidnap Mexican Farm Workers

While Higuera said the motive was still being investigated, local news media speculated that the men may have been kidnapped by a drug gang to make them work growing marijuana. The farm’s owner has family ties to Vicente Carrillo Fuentes, a suspected leader of the Juarez drug cartel, according to a statement from the office of joint police and military operations in Culiacan.
