Guthrie Named Syngenta Japan Head, Kester To Europe

Since January 2005, Guthrie has been the country head for Syngenta Crop Protection Ltd. in Thailand, where, he successfully led the business and increased sales and market share in the competitive Thai market. Earlier assignments include regional Asia Pacific head for marketing and development in Hong Kong and Singapore, and global marketing roles in the UK and Switzerland after spending 10 years in Australia with ICI Crop Care.

Syngenta Japan’s current president, Michael Kester, will return to Europe after several international assignments to lead Syngenta’s vegetable business in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
