India: Overtakes China In Bt Cotton

Encouraging the growth, the government in the southern Indian state of Karnataka is considering subsidising seed purchased by small-scale cotton growers, according to the Indian newspaper, The Hindu. Karnataka accounts for 6% of the total area under cotton in India.
