For decades the growers were able to apply synthetic pesticides with little regard for their effect outside of the farm. With a burgeoning consumer community that is more savvy and has more access to information about where their food comes from, every part of the supply chain from manufacturers to growers, has been forced to explore alternatives to the traditional products.

Bring on the biologicals. These products have seen enormous growth in the past decade, and as the science behind them continues to improve, regulatory policy continues to drive traditional products out of the market, and consumers demand what they perceive as safer options, biological products will continue to garner additional market share.
