Lanxess Off To Fast Start In 2006

The group’s fast start surprised observers, and was built on the strong economic situation in the chemicals sector to pass on higher energy and raw material process to customers. Lanxess also reduced its production costs at numerous locations. The strongest boosts came in Asia, where turnover increased by as much as 21%.

Lanxess aims to reach the industry average as soon as possible, which is estimated to be 16%. In 2005, the company increased its margin to 8.1%, compared to the previous year’s 6.6%.
