MAI Creates Americas Region, Opens New Office

RALEIGH, North carolina, US – Makhteshim Agan Industries (MAI), parent of MANA Crop Protection, has announced changes in its global operations following the appointment of new CEO Erez Vigodman. MAI’s North American operations now include the Americas Region, which will include MAI’s businesses in North and Latin America. Shaul Friedland, former MAI vice president of global sales and marketing, was named head of the region. Friedland will work from a new regional office in Miami, Florida. Reporting to Friedland will be the heads of MANA Crop Protection, US non-crop business, MAI’s Canadian operations, and MAI’s two Latin American businesses.

Musa Givon was named vice president of the Americas and will lead the MANA business unit on an interim basis. Givon is a former president of MANA, who in his last position was deputy vice president of global sales and marketing and chairman of Makhteshim Agan India, Thailand, Japan, Korea and South Africa.

Retiring is John Rabby, president of MANA. He will continue to provide consulting services to the company. A new head of MANA will be appointed over the next few weeks.

Vigodman said of the recent changes: “We are launching a process that will allow us to accomplish our main business goal over the next few years: significant sales and profit growth. We are committed to improving our worldwide competitive position while strengthening our core capabilities as one global firm.”
