Miller-Leaman Introduces Liquid Fertilizer Strainers
9 January 2007 Available in Type 304 and Type 316 stainless steel, the unique filters feature large conical screen elements, offering substantially more screen surface area than traditional y-strainers, basket strainers, and other strainer types. The filters are available with a large variety of screen options, ranging from large perforated hole-openings down to very fine mesh screens.
As liquid enters the bottom of the filter and flows upward, heavier particulate and debris is accelerated downward (away from the conical screen) into the large reservoir at the base of the filter. The particles are then flushed from the reservoir via the 1 1/2” flush port. A 2” bottom flush port is available at no additional cost. Due to the large amount of screen surface area, all models operate with a minimal pressure drop; less than 1-PSI (when clean).
