The ais that are progressing towards acceptance are:

  • Chlorantraniliprole – insecticide, DuPont. For use against chewing insects in field crops, fruits, and vegetables.
  • Spirotetramat – insecticide, Bayer CropScience. For use against sucking insects, including aphids, whiteflies, scales, and mealybugs in top fruit, vegetables, and potatoes.
  • Helicoverpa armigera nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV) – bio-insecticide, Andermatt Biocontrol. For use against cotton bollworms.
