The State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service is in the Ministry of Health and Rural Development and is responsible for all crop and seed products.

The exceptions to Poland’s EU compatibility were beef tripe, honey, and certain species of live animals, although as of January 1, 2006, beef tripe was expected to become a harmonized product, as well.
