PotashCorp Employees Return To Work
Five hundred striking PotashCorp employees at the company’s Cory, Allan, and Patience Lake, Canada potash mining operations have voted to ratify a three-year agreement, says the company. The agreement ends the strike started on August 7, 2008, and does not contain bonuses sought by the union, such as bonuses based on PotashCorp’s net income or commodity-based bonuses, which PotashCorp President and CEO Bill Doyle said would have equaled about US $157,000 per worker.
