QEMETICA Expands Crop Protection Business Into Australia

QEMETICA, an international chemical group with Polish roots, has launched sales in the Australian market, where it offers agricultural products through its own company QEMETICA Agricultural Solutions Australia. This marks a strategic milestone in the group’s global expansion and has the potential to serve as a springboard for further growth of its agricultural business in the Asia-Pacific region.

QEMETICA’s agricultural business is gaining momentum and is increasingly boldly expanding into new markets, serving as one of the driving forces behind the Group’s international growth. In 2025 alone, we shipped over 9 million litres of agricultural products from our factory in Nowa Sarzyna in Poland to markets around the world, serving key global markets – including Asia and South America. We are already present in around 40 countries, but we are looking even further, wider and more boldly. We are now opening a new chapter by entering a completely new continent, where we have just established our own company. For us, Australia is not just a new market, but a strategic move for the entire Group, which will allow us to diversify our revenues even further: geographically, seasonally and in terms of currency, says Kamil Majczak, CEO of QEMETICA.

Australia is one of the world’s wealthiest economies on a per capita basis, offering a stable and favourable regulatory environment and an openness to collaboration with new players, which translates into highly attractive conditions for sales growth. The local plant protection products market is largely based on cereal crops well known in Europe (approx. 40%), but high-margin specialist crops, such as fruit, vegetables, grapes and pulses, also play a significant role; QEMETICA has extensive experience in these areas, gained from key markets such as Spain, Italy and France.

Australia is a large, growing agricultural market where we can leverage our strong expertise in building long-term relationships with local distributors. Its location in the southern hemisphere is also an advantage – the reversed agricultural cycles help to optimize seasonality and enhance the efficiency of sales management. For us, this is not only an attractive market in its own right, but also a natural hub for our expansion into the dynamic markets of the Asia-Pacific region, says Edgardo Iglesias, Head of QEMETICA Agricultural Solutions. – Whilst developing our agribusiness globally, we are not losing sight of Europe – which remains our key market. We are gradually expanding our presence into further European countries, constantly broadening our range of modern, innovative products. Recently, we have significantly increased our presence in countries such as Germany, France, Italy, the UK and Ireland, and we plan to continue supporting European farmers and their competitiveness, driving further dynamic growth in the region, adds Edgardo Iglesias. `

QEMETICA Agricultural Solutions is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of plant protection products and competes successfully on global markets. The company offers a wide range of herbicides, insecticides and fungicides that support sustainable and efficient farming. Innovation is key in this competitive landscape – from the revolutionary herbicide Halvetic, which QEMETICA has been successfully marketing globally for several years, to a new standard in maize protection, the latest product Evrittel. As a result, QEMETICA now supplies solutions to around 40 countries, helping farmers to increase yields and protect their crops in a variety of climatic and market conditions.
