Reach The Summit

The first annual FCI Trade Summit is set to take place at the Sheraton Centre hotel and conference center in Toronto, Canada. At presstime, the event includes 15 sponsors and many attendees from all over the planet, converging in Canada to meet and to discuss the international agriculture industry. With decision-makers from the world’s foremost agrochemical and fertilizer manufacturers and formulators, distributors, and associated sectors, the FCI Trade Summit will be the scene of one of the industry’s largest and most diverse gatherings of key global figures under one roof.

An Event Like No Other

What makes the FCI Trade Summit unique is the vision that the FCI team has brought to life. Rather than focusing on academic topics or filling the days with position papers and panel discussions that lack relevance to many of the event’s attendees, the FCI Trade Summit team knows what visitors hope to accomplish – networking, marketing, meeting business partners, and achieving practical, tangible results.

With that in mind, the Summit was designed to foster business interaction. The event is under a single roof, and offers meeting suites to sponsors, allowing them to arrange private one-on-one meetings with attendees. Before the show, sponsors and attendees are able to view information about the companies that will be present in order to fill their schedules with meetings and manage their time as fruitfully as possible.

In true FCI spirit, the Summit is also designed around worldwide agriculture. Rather than focusing on a single country or region, sponsors, attendees, and speakers will be in attendance from every inhabited continent.

Business Strategy Focus

While the Summit is largely devoted to creating a space and time for private meetings, the group networking events and speaker series are top-notch. Speakers at the event, like attendees, are global in the truest sense. With current speakers hailing from Australia, Brazil, China, the EU, Ghana, the US, and Yemen, each is bringing specific market knowledge that can be hard to find elsewhere.

The speakers  and their presentations bring more value to the event – the focus is on business strategy, market access, and practical matters that can be turned into tools for better business. Each has knowledge of the agriculture industry and their own area of expertise from hands-on, practical experience working in the industry.

The speaker sessions are planned during Breakfast Sessions each morning, to get the days of the event off to fast starts. They are concise and focused, allowing sponsors and attendees plenty of time during the remainder of the day to hold their private meetings and foster relationships with fellow attendees. In addition, the cocktail reception held on the evening of August 20 provides another opportunity for the group to convene in a casual setting, network, and relax after the busy day (not to mention, fill up any free space that might be left on their schedules for the remainder of the Summit).

One FCI, One Summit

The FCI Trade Summit is also unique in that it is the one event envisioned, designed, and managed by FCI. With over 20 years of experience serving the ag industry and help from many friends we have met along the way, visitors can rest assured that the Summit was created to be the perfect event for our readers – one which delivers information and market intelligence, but also one which caters to the professional interests of our attendees.
