Seven Pesticides Extended Under EU Annex I

The European Commission (EC) has chosen to extend the approvals of seven pesticide active ingredients as it refines the procedures for registration renewals. The approvals of these products, which were slated to expire between 2008 and 2010, have been pushed back to the end of 2011. Those products are:

  • Azimsulfuron (H)
  • Fluroxypur (H)
  • Azoxystrobin (F)
  • Imazalil (F)
  • Kresoxim-methyl (F)
  • Spirozamine (F)
  • Prohexadione-calcium (PGR)

All of these chemicals, which were the first to be included on Annex I, will be considered for full extensions once the criteria and procedures for re-registration are finalized.
