Syngenta Registers Premixed Seed Treatment

A commercially-applied premix of three active seed treatment ingredients, designed for wireworm and disease control in wheat and barley, has been registered in Canada by Syngenta Crop Protection Canada. The commercial formulation of thiamethoxam, difenoconazole, and metalaxyl-m, is to be called Cruiser Maxx Cereals. The company said that the new product, a combination of the wireworm insecticide Cruiser and the fungicide Dividend XL RTA, is registered for use on spring wheat, winter wheat, and barley.

Syngenta already markets thiamethoxam insecticide under the Cruiser and Actara brands. Difenoconazole is an active ingredient in Dividend, as is metalaxyl-m, which is also an active ingredient in Syngenta brands Apron, Helix, and Ridomil.
