US Cotton Group Visits China Leadership

Meetings betweem the NCC representatives and Chinese industry leaders included the China Cotton Association (CCA) and China’s cotton import inspection authority, AQSIQ, in Beijing, as well as provincial CIQ offices in Shanghai and Qingdao, where most US cotton is inspected as it comes into China.

The team also visited some of China’s largest users of US cotton, including Sunvim, Lanyan, Taifeng, Esquel, Anhui Huamao, Shadong Lutai, Black Peony, and China Resources. The team attended CCA’s China Cotton Conference in Xinjiang. A CCA leadership delegation is scheduled to visit the US in September to follow up on various topics and to discuss further cooperative programs.
