AgTech Innovator Terra Vera Launches Portable System to Protect Crops and Yield

Agriculture technology innovator Terra Vera has announced the launch of Brawndo TS, a portable system that utilizes the company’s proprietary biomimicry solutions for protecting crops and delivering nutrients – without harmful chemicals and synthetic fertilizers.

This made-in-the-U.S.A. 2-gallon system generates electrolyzed amino acid solutions with the push of a button and can be easily implemented by both commercial and hobbyist growers. In under two hours, the Brawndo TS can make ready-to-use ELMNT solutions for nutrients, crop protection, and immunity boost.

“We are proud to offer our more compact and economical, but just as powerful, Brawndo TS system to growers,” said Terra Vera CEO and Co-Founder Carlos Perea, who previously founded MIOX Corporation, a technology company with a proven track record of treating drinking water in over 30 countries. “With the need for all-natural and organic crops amid the challenges of a rapidly changing climate, growers need solutions like Terra Vera that are accessible, affordable and healthy for their plants, their consumers and the surrounding environment and soil that they rely on.”

Offering an out-of-the-box on-site generation helps ensure the quality assurance of fresh chemistry each time while reducing plastic use–averaging a reduction of 5 pounds of plastic per unit of ELMNT solution. With a $1,000 price tag, the Brawndo TS is both a budget and environmentally-friendly alternative to potentially dangerous pesticides, complete with fresh on-demand solutions to reduce waste and growers’ carbon footprint.

Terra Vera’s proven platform technology, which is modeled after the U.S. military’s approach to treating drinking water to EPA standards, is a safe and compliant alternative that is non-toxic for people and the environment. The technology mimics humans’ natural biological process for fighting infections by converting organic, inert compounds into an antimicrobial solution that is safe on live tissue yet effective at inactivating pathogens, including viruses, bacteria, and fungi.

These effects have been documented in several case studies released by Terra Vera, including testing of the company’s activated amino acid nutrients on the microbial mass of plants. According to this microbial testing case study, foliar feeding with Terra Vera nutrients in the flowering/bloom stage resulted in a 100% pass rate in post-harvest microbial testing (<10,000 CFU/g) samples. Before adopting Terra Vera as a flowering/bloom nutrient, 15% of samples failed compliance testing and could not be sold to consumers. The plants used in the studies were grown in an indoor controlled environment over a two-year period.

Such findings provide insights into the ability of Terra Vera-formulated nutrients to provide a natural defense against environmental stresses and additional revenue opportunities for growers. Plants often do not have the proper nutrition to activate their natural defense mechanisms against abiotic and pathogen stress. By increasing the product pass rate from 85% to 99%, operators may recapture millions of dollars of revenue potential.

Terra Vera first introduced its offerings in 2020 and now provides solutions to agriculture growers across the U.S. Its systems are scalable for both large and small agricultural operations in a variety of grow methods: outdoor, indoor and greenhouse. In addition, Terra Vera’s experienced team works closely with clients to ensure their agricultural solutions are compliant with federal and state-specific regulations.
