Agrium Proposes To Buy CF Industries

CNN Money.com reports that Canada-based fertilizer supplier Agrium Inc. has submitted a proposal to the board of directors of US rival CF Industries Holdings, Inc. to acquire all CF’s capital stock for cash and Agrium shares at US $72.00 per CF share, or a total of approximately $3.6-billion. Approximately 56% of the total selling price would be in Agrium common shares and 44% would be in cash.
