Wynca Expansion Plans Include East Africa and Central America for Increasing Its Global Market

Scroll Down to Read

It has been a challenging market environment for all of agriculture; how is your company positioned to work through global disruption and deliver your products and services?
Wynca targets its agrochemical position to be a global leader in the crop protection area. To reach this goal, Wynca enriched its product variety and optimized its structure through capital operations. In 2021, Wynca expanded its business by holding shares of Hefei Xingyu Co., taking advantage of Hefei Xingyu’s herbicides to enable Wynca group to be fully involved in selective and non-selective herbicide areas.

Wynca also bought shares in Nutrichem Co. The two parties promote R&D development, production, markets, supply chain, and other aspects to optimize the products and enhance the ability of Wynca to provide comprehensive crop protection solutions.

Another strategy was to establish overseas subsidiaries to carry out pesticide registration and accelerate the global market layout. Wynca started to set up subsidiaries in overseas markets and operate locally beginning in the early 2000s. By 2021, Wynca launched 10 subsidiaries in the United States, Brazil, Argentina and also in Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d ‘Ivory, Mali, etc. The company completed 1,500 pesticide registrations. From 2023 to 2025, Wynca plans to set up more overseas branches in East Africa, Southeast Asia, Central America, and other regions to further promote the globalization of its business.

What do you see as the biggest opportunity that will have a major impact in 2023?
The supply condition of China’s pesticide market will continue to improve. With the rapid improvement of environmental protection and safety production standards in the industry and the increasing supervision, China’s small- and medium-sized pesticide enterprises are gradually withdrawing from the market. The pesticide production industry continues to concentrate, and the situation of oversupply is significantly improved, driving the industry’s prosperity to maintain or further increase in 2023.

Does your company have any new product launches or major developments?
Wynca launched production of herbicide products. Glufosinate is expected to join the production process. The construction of the glufosinate project complies with Wynca’s green development concept, relying on high-tech innovation and clean production to match the competitiveness in market.  •
