According to IFC, Tianren, which is located in Ji’an in the Jiangxi Province, plans to use the investment to increase its manufacturing capacity and strengthen its spray service both on land and in the air. Tianren will thus be able to supply biopesticides for over 1 million hectares of forest and arable land in China, enhancing productivity.

IFC, which is located in Washington D.C. and has 184 member countries, is part of the World Bank Group. The organization is dedicated to environmental and social sustainability, a mission that aligns itself well with China’s needs, where common practices in developed countries, like integrated pest management, are just starting to be introduced.

“IFC’s expertise and funding is important for Tianren in transforming from a manufacturer to an integrated pest management solution provider,” said Liang Xiaowen, Tianren’s chairman and president. “We will continue to create value for our customers, shareholders, employees and local communities while contributing to environmental protection.”
