28 February 2011 What is your most innovative product, service or research initiative?
For registrations, we will continue to invest more in Rainbow’s own registrations around the world. Our own registrations will be the main part of our service to our partners to give us the strongest base to fulfill future business.
For technical products, we will add active ingredients MCPA and MCPA 2 EHE into our product list so we can supply a complete product list for phenoxy herbicides.
For formulations, we will invest more for our WG formulation facility and R&D. This facility and R&D lab will enable us to afford custom-made WDG or WSG formulation upon a lot of different active ingredients.
For re-packing, we will improve our automatic packing system so we can supply a diversity of high-standard, finished goods to markets in a short period of time.
What are some of the supply/demand factors influencing the agrochemical industry for 2011?
The unstable cost of raw materials and the uncertain market situation has created more risk for producers that keep continuous production and market activity. Managers need to spend a lot of time studying market information from different sources and should know how to make the right decisions to face such a sea change. It is a challenge and also risky. Work hard, and then you can enjoy the benefits from the right decisions.
What will you do to deliver high-quality products and services despite the hard economic times?
In 2010, both our volume and turnover increased more than 25% compared to 2009. The keys to success are to have a stable and professional team with the right direction and strategy, to focus on your main business, and don’t lose your belief and confidence when you face a difficult or bad situation.
