CropLife America Hires Senior VP of Science and Regulatory Affairs

CropLife AmericaDr. Janet E. Collins will join CropLife America as senior vice president of science and regulatory affairs, effective January 5, 2015. Collins brings 25-plus years of professional experience and leadership in regulatory affairs and nutrition science to her new role.

For the past nine years, Collins served as global biotechnology manager and senior manager of corporate regulatory affairs at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. In this role, she led corporate regulatory food strategy development and formal advocacy implementation; provided regulatory policy leadership for global standards setting organizations; and provided regulatory advice and nutrition strategy for DuPont. Before joining DuPont in 2005, Collins was the director and lead for global regulatory organizations for Monsanto Company, where she provided leadership to global regulatory and scientific affairs staff, external global organizations and U.S. government regulatory agencies on issues such as labeling, nutrition and risk analysis.

Collins received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in experimental foods and nutrition from the University of Georgia, Athens; a Doctor of Philosophy in animal science from the University of Wyoming, Laramie; and is a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
