EU Turns Away Three Okra Shipments From India

The European Union recently rejected three shipments of Indian-produced okra after pesticide residue that is toxic to bird and humans was found to be in excess levels of all three orders.

A recent article in The Hindu Business Line outlined the accepted amounts of monocrotophos, acephate and trazaphos. The amounts of the named pesticides were more than double what the EU allows.
