Spain: Biopesticide Success Improving

The Almerian horticultural product harvest and export companies’ association, Coexphal, provided the numbers, and added that tomato pest control in greenhouses is "almost 100%," while that for peppers is "over 84%." Biological controls are expected to be used on 5,000 hectares (Ha) of Almeria’s horticultural area for the 2007/08 season.

The region gained 70% control from biopesticides in the previous season.
