Seller’s profit will be much lower because of products’ price decrease. It will lead to a series of problems, such as restricted cash flow, limited research and development for new products, and slower starts to new projects. Additionally, employees will lack confidence, and buyers’ ability to pay will be hampered.
How are you changing your operations to better serve your clients in these tough times?
We will consider ways to decrease the cost of our products and the ultimate charge to our clients. We will also focus on our core products to improve their competitive advantage in their respective markets.
What is your most innovative product, service or research initiative?
According to clients’ specific requirements, we help them choose proper formulations, develop new formulations, or supply our technology service. Second, we put our new products on the market, such as chlorfenapyr, glufosinate, etc.
How optimistic are you about the economic health of the agrochemical industry for 2009?
We think the downturn will continue to intensify, but we expect the economy to improve perhaps in the middle of 2009.
