EcoStim to Expand Into the North American Agriculture Industry

EcoStim, a developer and manufacturer of natural plant biostimulants based in the United Kingdom, has announced plans to expand in North America through a partnership with Excel Holdings.

EcoStim, which launched in 2018, manufactures and distributes Natural Biostimulants for agricultural crops and Sports Turf. With established distribution channels in nine major countries on four continents, this partnership with Excel Holdings will provide United States’ farmers with access to the range of Biostimulants.

EcoStim’s Biostimulants were designed to enhance the plants’ growth and, metabolism, and energy levels, allowing them to deal with environmental stresses that lead to healthier plants and higher yields, maximizing the farmer’s profits. In international markets, EcoStim has successfully reduced the need for nitrogen-based fertilizers by as much as 40% while improving crop yields by upto 30%.

“While the biostimulants industry is still fairly new, international testing of EcoStim has been very promising. Supplementing agricultural products with EcoStim has improved taste, increased yields, and help farmers maximize profits without impacting the environment,” said Phil Gaffney, Chief Operating Officer of EcoStim UK.

According to a field report, EcoStim Biostimulants caused an increase in the total yield of sugar cane. Sugar cane, with an average yield of 60-70 tons per hectare, increased by 30-40% after applying EcoStim Biostimulants and supplementing rainfall with intermittent irrigation. The biostimulant is able to create better soil conditions which improves longitudinal and lateral root growth and allows relief from drought.

On another case study held in Africa, a major tomato grower and exporter tested the EcoFruit product and they kept a control group of the same size and variety. Results indicate that the group with the biostimulant produced more flowers and tomatoes compared to the control group. Overall, the testing resulted in 27% increase in yield, 33% increase in brix (sugar content), and tomatoes gained an additional four days of shelf life, proving the impacts of using EcoStim Biostimulants.

During the initial launch in North America, EcoStim will begin with pilot projects in key markets around the country. The goal of the testing will be to localize application to crop output metrics for the full EcoStim Biostimulant Range, which is comprised of the following:

  • EcoCereal – increases yield and quality of the plant, enhances the root mass and depth, and produces earlier cropping.
  • EcoFruit – increase yield, enhance root mass and depth, earlier cropping, and produce sweeter fruits.
  • EcoVeg – increase yield, enhance root mass and depth, earlier cropping, and produce larger vegetables.
  • EcoFlower – produces larger flowers, more buds and shoots, more colorful flowers, and faster plant development.
  • EcoTurf – improves the color of the grass, increases the rooting system, and helps the grass to be stronger from twisting and wear.

Trials are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2023.
