Newsun Launches ClimaBio in Brazil, Backed by Multi-Location Field Evidence
Chengdu Newsun Crop Science Co., Ltd. has launched ClimaBio, a biological climate management solution designed to help agriculture manage growing production risks associated with drought, heat and climate variability.
The launch brought together representatives from leading crop protection industry associations in China and Brazil, along with agricultural researchers, CROs, multinational companies, distributors and industry partners.
ClimaBio combines COR Coronatine, Natural Brassinosteroid and six functional biostimulants in a portfolio covering abiotic stress management, plant growth regulation, nutrient-use efficiency, plant defense, yield and crop quality.
“ClimaBio is not a single product, but a biological solution built around a deeper understanding of how plants respond and adapt to environmental change,” said Tony Liu, Senior Vice President of New Sun. “Our objective is to connect biological discovery with field evidence and locally adapted application programs.”
Brazil has been a key validation market for ClimaBio™ because of its diverse climates, soils and production systems. During the 2025–2026 soybean season, New Sun worked with eight Brazilian CROs and research partners to evaluate COR Coronatine and Natural Brassinosteroid across multiple production regions.
At the launch, Breno Juliatti, Technical Director of Juliagro, presented field results showing positive yield and root-development responses under drought and heat stress. Across eight trial locations, the leading COR Coronatine treatment delivered an average yield increase of 8.69 bags per hectare, while the strongest Natural Brassinosteroid treatment achieved a gain of up to 9 bags per hectare.
Dr. Huang, Vice dean of biotechnology research institute at New Sun, said the company’s innovation model begins with field needs, looks to nature for biological clues and then returns to the field for validation.
“We do not override nature,” Huang said. “We decode its rules and amplify them through precision engineering.”
New Sun plans to continue working with CROs, distributors and agricultural companies to expand ClimaBio™ validation across additional crops and markets, while developing locally adapted product programs and commercial partnerships.
