H.J. Baker Fertilizer, Sulphur Subsidiary Opens In Mexico

Westport, Connecticut, US-based H.J. Baker & Bro., Inc. — in business since 1850 — announced the establishment of its new Mexican subsidiary,
H. J. Baker & Bro. de Mexico S de R.L. de C.V.. The office in Guadalajara, Mexico, will help meet increased demand for H.J. Baker feed ingredients, fertilizer and sulphur products, and Tiger-Sul Products sulphur-based fertilizers in Mexico, Central America, and South America.

Christopher V. B. Smith, President & CEO of H.J. Baker stated: “Increased demand for our products [in Latin America] necessitated the creation of a local presence. This way we are ensuring that H. J. Baker customers throughout this important international region receive the support and service they have come to expect. Our Mexican company’s Guadalajara office will provide sales and service to agriculture, phosphate fertilizer producers, and dairy, cattle, and poultry feed markets in Mexico.”

H.J. Baker & Bro. de Mexico S de R.L. de C.V. also expects to be involved in supplying sulphur to the leading producers of phosphate fertilizers in Mexico and Tiger-Sul proprietary fertilizer products: TIGER 90CR sulphur and TIGER MICRONUTRIENTS fertilizers. This Mexican subsidiary and its new office will streamline all aspects of operations in the southern markets.
