EPA Approves Syngenta’s Inspire Super Fungicide

Greensboro, N.C., United States —The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved Syngenta’s Inspire Super fungicide for use on pome fruit and grapes.

Difenoconazole and cyprodinil, the two active ingredients control scab and powdery mildew in pome fruit plus Botrytis in grapes. The fungicide also has a flexible 14-day preharvest interval (PHI) on maturing pome fruit, according to Syngenta.

“We are excited to be able to offer pome and grape growers another way to protect their crops against devastating diseases,” said David Laird, fungicide brand manager, Syngenta Crop Protection in a prepared statement. “Its triazole combination, broad-spectrum activity and rapid uptake will make Inspire Super a top contender against summer disease, powdery mildew, scabs and leaf spot diseases.”
