Rotam Adds Dicamba Product for EU Market

Rotam CropSciences Ltd. is adding its dicamba product, Oceal, to its herbicides for maize in European markets. The firm has obtained registration of Oceal in France, Italy and the United Kingdom based on the company’s proprietary data.

Oceal is a new post-emergence product composed of 700 g/kg of dicamba in a soluble granule (SG) formulation. The concentrated formulation, which is free from toxicological classification, provides a new tool for the 2013/14 season that is exempt from operating restrictions, according to Rotam.

The product is recommended at 400 g/ha to control annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and can be mixed with other specialty products to provide a complete, post-emergence solution. Oceal complements Rotam’s existing nicosulfuron products, which are already marketed in the EU.
