Endosulfan Not Yet Added To PIC List

While endosulfan is under consideration for being added to the list, it has not yet been added. Endosulfan, which is well known and widely used in cotton-growing countries, will also affect growers of paddy rice and sugarcane. It has been recommended for inclusion in the list on the grounds that it poses unacceptable risks to workers and to the environment, according to a statement issued by the FAO in Rome. We would like to thank the Indian Chemical Council for bringing this matter to our attention.
