PMFAI Takes Lead on Endosulfan Debate

A group of farmers’ organizations known as the Federation of Indian Farmers (FIFO), recently petitioned Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to put a halt to a ban of endosulfan in India.

Some NGOs are opposing the use of endosulfan because of alleged health concerns caused by spraying the pesticide. A recent debate between TIMES NOW Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami and Environmentalist Bittu Sahgal addressed the issues.
