Syngenta To Release Seed For Ethanol Maize

The new seed has the potential to reduce costs by eliminating the need for mills to add liquid enzymes, though Jones declined to estimate the amount that production costs that will be cut.

Jones added that the seed, by targeting the rapidly growing market for ethanol, could bring in “significant” sales for the company.
