Shandong Luba Launches Paraquat SG
21 July 2015 Shandong Luba Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 50% paraquat SG has received a production license from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, according to the China Crop Protection Industry Association.
In 2012, Shandong Luba Chemical received pesticide registration approval for 50% paraquat SG from the Ministry of Agriculture. As of now, the three licenses necessary for the product are complete. Trial of the production system has been finished and production of 50% paraquat SG began at the end of April, CCPIA said.
Nanjing Red Sun Biochemistry Co., Ltd. also received production approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for its 20% paraquat GW to replace paraquat AS for the first time in August 2014. As of now, CCPIA said all alternatives for paraquat AS have been qualified for production. According to China’s State Intellectual Property Office, besides paraquat SG and paraquat GW, the patents of paraquat water soluble paste, paraquat WT, paraquat WG and other forms of formulations have already been applied by relevant companies.
