KSG Agro reports that this is the first stage of a project that may gradually expand and evolve into the investment in more modern technologies in the black sea nation in the areas of crop production, vegetable growing and pig farming.

According to China Daily, XPCC, founded in 1954, is known for purchasing farms in areas where water is scarce and modernizing water use for efficient irrigation and reclamation of land.

USDA FAS reports that Ukrainian wheat production totals upwards of 20 million tons per year. The southern state of Dnipropetrovsk is one of the nation’s most valuable wheat growing regions.
