Punjab Chemicals & Crop Protection Ltd. (PCCPL) may be looked upon as a global company based in India. It has seven manufacturing sites strategically located in different parts of India — all ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 certified, with each having R&D facilities, pilot plant facilities, and state-of-the-art plants conforming to international standards. PCCPL’s Export Division and International Sourcing Division work in tandem to give quality assistance to its global customers, which are spread over five continents and 60 countries.
PCCPL, which deals in agrochemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, APIs, phosphorous derivatives, and specialty chemicals, recently acquired Sintesis Quimica (SQ), a South American company with turnover of US $15 million, to strengthen its base in the growing Latin American market. Sintesis Quimica manufactures products for crop protection, wood protection, and biocides, with another division dedicated to agro-formulations.
