GLP and GEP testing protocols are accepted throughout the EU.

SGS, a Warsaw, Poland-based testing, verification, inspection and certification company, announced today that it opened three new field trial stations in Poland. The stations in Zamarte, Cebulki and Święcice will better enable SGS to conduct tests in laboratory environments that comply with good laboratory practice (GLP) and good experimental practice (GEP) testing protocols, according to a press release.

These protocols are intended to facilitate transparency and the exchange of information and ensure that testing data is standardized, comparable and can sync from country to country and across research platforms.

Compliance with these standards is necessary for product registration in the EU.

The OECD’s Mutual Acceptance of Data rule declares that if a chemical is tested according to GLP testing protocols in an OECD country, that testing data must also be considered valid in other OECD countries for regulatory and import/export purposes.
