Italpollina Obtains ECOCERT Certification for its Biostimulants
25 July 2017 Italpollina, an Italian company and leader in the production of organic fertilizers, biostimulants and beneficial microbials, has obtained the ECOCERT certification for its liquid products. ECOCERT is an independent international inspection and certification body for sustainable development, specializing in the certification of agricultural products suitable for organic farming.
It’s a new finish line for Italpollina. ECOCERT, in fact, is among the most important and authoritative awards internationally, certifying the suitability of products that can be used in organic farming. This proves once more the safeness that Italpollina can offer to operators of the sector and the transparency of its production processes, all key elements in the production philosophy of the company.
The certification level obtained is the Attestation of compliance, which is the highest level of certification released by ECOCERT. It is an attestation granted after an in-depth audit carried out inside the plant with the aim of verifying the complete traceability of the compounds from raw materials through the entire productive cycle until the final product. By getting into this more stringent certification process, Italpollina could obtain a certificate that allows users of its biostimulants to sell as organic not only in Europe but also in Japan (JAS) and in the U.S. (NOP).

Italpollina’s ECOCERT certified products number about 15 , and the company now can claim having one of the most certified and guaranteed products on the international markets. That product is TRAINER, the liquid biostimulant with the highest concentration of amino acids and peptides of 100% vegetal origin. This new certification, in fact, is added to those already obtained by the product on an international level, such as the OMRI certification – which attests the suitability of TRAINER for use in the US organic farming – and the certifications of the single states such as CDFA, for the use in California organic farming, and WSDA, for the use in Washington state organic farming. All those certifications are obtained after accurate audits inside the plant, and Italpollina has voluntarily chosen to go through the inspections continuously year after year.
