Em busca da excelência: como o veganismo está escalando para o sucesso.

Since its launch in March 2024, Vegano has charted an impressive growth trajectory, expanding across 15 countries, surpassing €3.7 million in revenue during its first nine months, and closing 2025 with a striking 143% increase in financial growth year over year.

However, according to Carlos Ledó Orriach, CEO and Founder of the Valencia, Spain-based company, Veganic’s ambition extends beyond rapid expansion as the company aims to build a resilient business centered around biosolutions and long-term market leadership.

“Growth should never come at the expense of credibility,” says Ledó Orriach. “In agriculture, trust is built over several growing seasons but can be lost very quickly, which is why Veganic scales its capabilities before expanding its commercial activity. Our investments have been designed to support future demand while maintaining consistent product performance.”

Ledó Orriach says Southern Europe has contributed to the company’s expansion, serving as a technical laboratory for developing and validating its new products across vegetables, citrus, vines, and fruit trees. Latin America has provided a platform for scale through its agricultural diversity, market potential, and openness to effective biosolutions.

He expects that the next major wave of growth will come from Brazil and selected American markets, as well as South Asia and the Asia-Pacific region as farmers respond to soil degradation, climate pressure, food-security challenges, the need for greater crop resilience, and more efficient use of agricultural inputs.

In the meantime, the company has built an experienced international team across biosolutions, agronomy, regulation, operations, and market development, while investing in new production and innovation facilities in Valencia, increasing the company’s manufacturing capacity fourfold.

Establishing Trust

To build trust in the face of rapid growth, Veganic combines laboratory, greenhouse, and field validation with local technical expertise, partner training, and direct contact with farmers.

“We do not merely supply products: We help customers integrate biosolutions into real crop management programs through the correct positioning, application protocols, and agronomic knowledge,” says Ledó Orriach. “Our role is to translate advanced biological science into protocols that are easy to implement, economically viable, and adapted to each production system.”

Before entering or expanding in a market, Veganic conducts trials under representative local conditions and analyzes growers’ existing crop management program.

One such grower is Isidoro Huesca Román, Agricultural Engineer at Horti Inver SL in El Ejido, Almería, who agreed to try a new plant health product on his cucumber crop.

“At this farm, we have been systematically applying Veganic’s Plant Primer to the irrigation system,” Huesca Román says.

The trial addressed pests and harsh climate conditions. Huesca Román reported that the product worked to improve plant stability for his cucumbers. He then took the next step to expand the use of the product on other crops.

“Crops grown in Valencia, São Paulo, Almería, Maharashtra, or central Mexico can face very different soils, climates, pest pressures, farming practices, and regulatory conditions,” says Ledó Orriach. “Replicating the same protocol everywhere without adaptation would limit both efficacy and value for the grower.”

One of the company’s key milestones this year has been decoding the plant alphabet, says Ledó Orriach.
“We believe this is a very important concept for strengthening our digital positioning and communicating what makes Veganic unique,” says Ledó Orriach. “It has generated a significant amount of interest and engagement across social media. We have had many interactions, shares, and views around the project, which has helped increase our visibility and reach a much wider digital audience.”

Pontos a considerar

For companies looking to scale successfully, Ledó Orriach suggests these five practices.

  • Build the infrastructure before you need it. Invest early in systems, talent, and operational capacity so the business can support rising revenue without sacrificing performance.
  • Stay focused on what you do best. Prioritize initiatives that strengthen your core capabilities, strategic position, and long-term goals — and learn to say no when an opportunity pulls resources away from the business.
  • Keep customers at the center. Direct customer engagement can reveal problems and opportunities that data alone may miss.
  • Protect a culture of evidence and learning. Build a culture grounded in scientific rigor, measurable results, and continuous learning.
  • Make the grower’s economics part of the strategy. Startups that connect biological innovation to agronomic performance, productivity, and profitability have a stronger path to adoption and long-term growth.
